Tangany follows the principle of security-by-design. The whole technical architecture of the system is designed for the highest security standards. This also comes with the result that no entity has direct access to the managed and stored private keys in our vault. Neither our client nor their customers nor we as provider can access those keys. The keys are stored in a so-called Hardware-Security-Module (HSM) and are not able to leave this environment.

The Key Vault is certified either with FIPS 140-2. FIPS 140-2 is an US-based security standard that specify requirements for cryptographic modules and is be used - among others - in the banking sector. For more information about FIPS 140-2 please refer to Wikipedia | FIPS140-2.
